Falkirk’s top businesses have been unveiled in a celebration of success.
The Falkirk Herald Business Awards 2014 took place at the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel & Spa when a range of firms and organisations were honoured for their achievements.
Held annually, the event recognises success stories across a range of areas, including environmentally friendly, tourism, growth and sales.
It also highlighted independent retailers and young entrepreneurs, as well as large and small companies.
Winner of the Outstanding Achievement of the Year, having earlier taken the Best Small Business Award, was The Wheelhouse Restaurant.
Steven McLeod, chief executive of the Aurora Hotel Collection, owners of Airth Castle and Glenbervie House Hotel, was presented with the inaugural Business Personality of the Year Award.
Colin Hume, editor of The Falkirk Herald, said: “Once again, our awards ceremony has been a great success. We are delighted to have been joined by so many people from businesses across the district, along with their staff and guests.
“The judging process was incredibly difficult and everyone who was shortlisted should consider themselves a winner.
“Thanks go to all involved in the judging, especially our sponsors, who help make this event so successful.”
