Crossing the age divide will be two speakers at a Young Entrepreneurs event taking place in Falkirk today (Thursday).
Almost 60 years separate Jack Marshall (81), founder of Tapside Coffee Rentals, and Bruce Walker (23), who set up We Are The Future.
But what the pair have in common is a desire to share experiences and help others make a success of their business.
The event takes place in the Falkirk Business Hub, Vicar Street, from 4pm-7pm and is hosted by Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Others taking part include Young Enterprise Scotland and Youth Business Scotland (The Prince’s Trust) and the event is designed to provide support and advice to new entrepreneurs and help harness their energy and innovative ideas with an expert panel discussion, Q&A and networking session.
Jack, who founded Tapside in Bo’ness 35 years ago, said: “I’ve learned a lot over the years, especially digitally, but the one thing that hasn’t changed over the last six decades is the importance of understanding the value of good customer service and communications, which I’m looking forward to talking about on the night.”
We Are The Future is a global entrepreneurship organisation, which hosts international summits and programmes around the world to inspire and connect people.
Bruce, from Stirling, said: “My focus is all about inspiring entrepreneurship and encouraging people to get out there and make an impact.”
