Staff at a leading kitchen equipment supplier dished up a treat for the district’s catering trade with the help of a kitchen equipment supplier.

Larbert’s Catering Supplies and Repairs Ltd (CSR) has teamed up with leading manufacturer Electrolux Professional as part of its ‘Great Kitchen, Great Results’ national programme.

The launch, at the company’s Muirhall Road headquarters, gave local catering professionals an opportunity to discover how they can make the best use of equipment to prepare dishes in their own kitchens.

The programme is run by Electrolux Professional’s team of development chefs, who boast 60 years’ experience in commercial kitchens.

Pauline Cribb, CSR’s business development manager, said: “We plan to have chefs giving demonstrations every month, with the next event due on March 24. We are also keen to get schools involved, as well as the public and private sector.

“This facility is the first of its kind in Scotland and we want to give support to the catering industry.”

CSR was set up 35 years ago and current managing director Allan Pinkerton is looking forward to this new challenge.

He said: “Having worked with so many customers across Scotland, we’re keen to open our doors to any local catering professionals, who wish to find out more about some of the techniques recommended by one of the leading manufacturers of kitchen equipment.

“This is the first of what we hope will be a packed schedule of workshops over the course of the year, and we’re looking forward to bringing together a number of the region’s very own masterchefs.”

CSR recently won the contract with Four Seasons Health Care to look after its kitchen equipment across Scotland.
