Family butchers Patricks of Camelon were seven time winners at a national event.
Judges at the annual Butchers Q Guild Smithfield Awards were so impressed they awarded two of its products - smoked rib of ham and rib of smoked ham – maximum marks!
As well as scooping the Best Scottish Lamb prize for the second year in a row – this time for its traditional Scotch pie made from locally sourced lamb and beef – there were also gold medals for Patricks smoked gammon steak, gammon steak in chilli sauce and curry meatballs.
Delighted Robert Patrick said: “All our winners are well proven products sold in the shop every day.”
In the ready to eat meats category, Falkirk rivals, Thomas Johnston Quality Butchers based in the Cow Wynd, earned gold awards for their traditional Lorne sausage, steak burger, steak pie and roast lamb with mint marinade.
The 2015 event attracted a record entry of 472 products from 56 Q Guild butchers.
