Hotel boss Steven McLeod scooped another industry accolade when he attended this week’s DRAM Awards.

The Scottish licensed trade’s Oscars, Steven beat off stiff competition to take the Benromach ‘Award for Success’. It recognises individuals who have shown “outstanding vision and drive to expand their business and grow turnover”.

The win follows his Aurora Hotel Collection’s recent success at the Scottish Hotel Awards where it picked up seven awards, including ‘Scottish Hotel Group of the Year’.

Steven (38) established the Larbert-based group eight years ago when he purchased Airth Castle. Since then, he has acquired a number of properties across central Scotland and the portfolio now features seven venues, generating a turnover in excess of £15 million and employing over 400 people.

He said: “Naturally, I’m delighted to have again been honoured, but it is not a reflection of my hard work alone. I have recruited a great team who have the experience and enthusiasm to deliver unrivalled service and quality to our guests.”
