Brownies celebrate half century

It was a special celebration when the members of 1st Bantaskin Brownie pack met last week.

The girls and their leaders were celebrating 50 years since the pack was formed.

The group continues to meet every Friday evening in Bantaskin Primary School.

There are currently around 40 Brownies aged seven to ten in the pack and, over the decades, hundreds if not thousands of youngsters, mainly from the Bantaskine and Tamfourhill areas, have taken part in the wide range of activities, including badge work, games and outings.
