Whist Results

Results of the Brightons Whist and Dominoes this week are: Whist – 1 Mary Spink, 2 May McInally. Dominoes - 1 Bruce Huntley, 2 Cora Buchanan.

Parish Church

Last Sunday, the minister conducted morning worship at 11 a.m. assisted by Rachel Meek who led the youth address, the first in a series of animals in the bible. This Sunday, the minister will conduct worship at 11 a.m. This service is the annual dedication for the uniformed organisations and they will be on parade. The recent retiring offering at the communion services raised the sum of £246.85 for our Missionary Partners, the Duncans, in South Africa. The Guild will meet on Monday at 7.30 p.m. This is a Guild project evening - WEVolution (Passage from India). A warm welcome is extended to all. The next Film night will take place on Saturday at 7 p.m. The film is ‘Faith like Potatoes’. There is no charge. Tea and cakes will be served. The church will be open every Thursday from October 2 between 10-11.30 a.m. for a time of prayer and meditation. Door duty this Sunday will be by Moira Alexander, Gordon Scott, Malcolm Little, Jessie Wallace and Jean Meek. The crèche will be manned by Gillian Hunter, Joanne Kilpatrick and Nancy Lees.

Coffee Morning

A MacMillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning will be held in the church halls on Saturday between 10 a.m. and noon. There will also be a cake and candy stall and a car wash. Please support this very worthy cause. All are welcome and entry is by donation.

Quilting Group

This group is on Wednesdays in the Grange Centre, Redding road from 1.30 – 2.30 p.m. and is open to new members and beginners. The first meeting is free with a cost of £2 per session after that. An annual membership is also required. If this is something you would like to take part in please come along on the day bring a small piece of material and a couple of needles.

Metafit Class

A Metafit class is on Tuesdays at the Grange Centre from 6.15 – 6.45 p.m., only £2 per session.
