Parish church

Last Sunday, Rev. Murdo Campbell led the worship and was assisted by Maggy Dick, Andy Gillespie and a few members from Wait for It who used the children’s and young people’s message to launch this year’s holiday club (August 11-15) ‘Fit for The King’. During the service the minister ordained into the eldership Jean Callahan and admitted Malcolm Little, Pat Paterson and Gordon Scott into the eldership. At the conclusion the minister and the elders present offered the right hand of fellowship to the new elders. This Sunday, Rev. Campbell will conduct the worship at 11 a.m. The monthly evening service will take place this Sunday at 6.30 p.m. This will be the last evening service until September. The monthly church bookstall will be available after both services this Sunday in the Rankine Hall. Tonight (Thursday) the congregational prayer time will take place in the small hall at 7.45 p.m. The Thursday coffee morning last week raised £100 to support Leprosy Mission Scotland in their work towards ‘A World Without Leprosy’. The blood transfusion service will be at the church halls on Monday, June 9 from 2.30 - 3.45 p.m. and 5.15 - 7.30 p.m. Door duty this Sunday will be by Moira Alexander, Maralyn Stirling, Margaret Scott, Jessie Wallace, Jean Meek and Jim Stirling.
