Whist and Dominoes

Rae Stuart took 1st place in the whist competition with Hilda Cameron a close second. The top domino honours went to Richard Warwick and Bruce Huntley was the runner-up. New members are always welcome. Call (01324) 714616 for more information.

Parish Church

Last Sunday, the Rev. Murdo Campbell led the worship at 11 a.m. assisted by Stephen Pearson who gave the children’s and youth message. The minister will conduct worship at the usual time of 11 a.m. this Sunday. The Nepal earthquake disaster special collection to date amounts to £755.61. This Sunday will be the final opportunity to donate to the Disaster Emergency Committee’s Appeal. The Kirk Session will meet on this Tuesday, May 26 at 7.45 p.m. There will be the usual prayer time at 7.15 p.m. in the small hall prior to the meeting. On Saturday, May 30 Helena Glass will be having a coffee morning as part of her fundraising efforts towards her World Challenge trip in 2016 to Swaziland. The Sunday School Fun Day and BBQ will take place on Saturday, June 6 from 11.30 a.m.-2 p.m. in the church/manse grounds. This invitation is extended to the family and friends of our Sunday School children and to the congregation. The cost is £2 for adults and £1 for children aged three and over. A booking form and more details are available from any of the Sunday School leaders. Door duty this Sunday will be by Billy Rankine, Ian Lawson, Malcolm Lewis, Pat Paterson, Doug Maden and Alan Macfarlane. On crèche duty will be Sandra Blair, Dorothy Harris and Shirley Jenkins. The bus for the annual Guild outing leaves the church at 12 noon this Saturday, May 23 and goes straight to Broughty Ferry, arriving around 2 p.m. so perhaps a snack before setting off would be an idea.
