Parish Church

Last Sunday, Rev. Murdo Campbell conducted the 11 a.m. service assisted by George Mann who gave the children and youth address. This Sunday the minister will conduct the morning worship at 11 a.m. The monthly evening service will take place at 6.30 p.m. and will be led by members of the Science and Faith Team. On Sunday, March 8 the Deacons’ Court will have a meeting at 10.15 a.m. and the Kirk Session will meet at 10.30 a.m. Both meetings will take place in the Small Hall. The World Day of Prayer service will take place in Blackbraes and Shieldhill Parish Church at 7 p.m. All are welcome. Door duty this Sunday will be by Jim Dick, Jean Cairns, Bill Cairns, Charles Maden, Liz McKellar and Craig Smith. On crèche duty will be Moira Fyall, Gillian Hunter and Elspeth McCallum.

Ladies’ Group

Brightons Ladies’ Group will meet in the Community Hall at 7.45 p.m. on Tuesday (March 3) for a ‘Bonnie Prince Charlie Walk’ with Gregor Ewing and his dog Meg. All ladies welcome. Admission £2.
