Boys’ Brigade marks company’s big badge success

Proud badge-winning members of 1st Grangemouth Boys’ Brigade, Mathew Thompson, Eli McNamee, Cameron Mears, Mitchell Drummond, Shahan Gohar, Cameron Foray, Calum Duff, James Bundy, Jamie Dingwall, Sean Harrington and Sam Briggs, join Captain David Wilson, Grangemouth High School head teacher Paul Dunn and Reverend Aftab Gohar at Abbotsgrange Parish Church in Grangemouth.

Five of the lads - Mitchell, Cameron, Shahan, Calum and James - gained their Queen’s Badges while the remaining six gained their President’s Badges.

The Queen’s Badge is the highest honour that can be attained by a member of the BB and is only open to youngsters who have already gained their President’s Badge.

Candidates must also fulfil other criteria, including taking responsibility within the BB or within the church and providing voluntary service or support to others outside the BB.

The 1st Grangemouth BB company meet weekly in Abbotsgrange Church Hall and include anchor boys, aged primary one to three, and a junior section, aged primary four to six.
