Parish Church

A warm welcome is extended to everyone to attend the Holy Communion service on Sunday at 11 a.m. Donations will be taken for the Food Bank. Prayer time is open to all and is held in the Vestry from 10.30-10.45 a.m. Sunday School and Youth Group meets in the church hall at 10.45 a.m. prior to the morning service. Tuesday Morning Group meets in the hall for tea and coffee from 10 a.m. with a short service at 11 a.m. There is no church choir tomorrow (Friday). A gospel puppet show, ‘Acting Up’, takes place in the church tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30 p.m. - lots of laughs and Muppet-style family fun for adults and children of school age. Tickets are £5 and £2 for children, in aid of the children’s charity Place of Restoration. The World Day of Prayer service on Friday, March 6 takes place in the church at 7 p.m.

Bowling Club

The gents’ opening day of the green will be Saturday, April 4 at 2 p.m. The ladies’ opening day will be Sunday, April 5 at 2 p.m., and the Veterans’ opening day is Monday, April 6 at 2 p.m. New members welcome.

Masonic News

There was a good turnout at the regular meeting held in Lodge Dolphin on Thursday, February 19 when one candidate received the first degree from the RWM Brother Graham Bakhas and his team from Bonhill and Alexandria Royal Arch Lodge No. 321. The next meeting will be a third degree by the office-bearers of the lodge at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5.

Prize Bingo

In aid of CHAS. Takes place in Bonnybridge Social Club on Thursday, March 12. All proceeds raised will be sent to Rachel House in Kinross.

Denny and Dunipace Citizens Advice Bureau provides an information and advice service at Bonnybridge Community Centre each Wednesday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. If you would like an appointment to speak to a CAB adviser, please contact Bonnybridge Community Centre on (01324) 503290. Over-50s Forum

The next meeting of Make It Happen, the over-50s forum, will be held in Bonnybridge Community Centre on Monday from 10.30 a.m.-12.30 p.m. The forum is a great way for over-50s to meet new people, get involved, discuss ideas and concerns and to have a real voice in the community. This month we’ll have a film presentation on NHS and have an important opportunity to give feedback and provide ideas on shaping our future healthcare. We’ll also have an exclusive look at new resources regarding falls and fall preventation. Please come along to hear what is happening. You’ll receive a warm welcome with tea/coffee provided.

Braveheart Walks

Friendly Bonnybridge walkers leave from the Royal Hotel at 10.30 a.m. every Wednesday with a choice of an hour walk or a slower 30 minute walk amongst many marvelous paths. Come along and meet our Walk Leaders and some welcoming faces, where you can enjoy a chat over tea and cake in the cafe afterwords. For more information please call (01324) 673703.
