David said: “I did the climb last year and ever since I did it Louise has wanted to do so to. Because of age restrictions I said I would take her when she turned 10.

“I lost my father, Louise’s grandfather, in 2006 to this disease and Louise suggested we do this for Cancer Research which I said was a great idea.”

The O2 Arena, formerly known as the Millennium Dome, is one of the best known landmarks in London. The climb takes those brave enough to attempt it on a 28 degrees ascent on a walkway 380 metres long and 52 metres above ground. Participants will be given a full climb suit, a safety harness and climbing shoes. You can donate at www.justgiving.com/David-Fraser9.
