Bo'ness power cut: These are all the areas without electricity

The Bo’ness area has been hit by a power cut this morning, with engineers working to restore electricity to the region as quickly as possible.

Many in the area woke this morning to find that they had been hit by the power outage, with Scottish Power saying they aim to have things back up and running properly later this morning.

The firm said that it would attempt to reset the network and restore power in stages, hopefully returning things to normal by around 10.30am.

In a statement this morning, SP Energy Neworks said of the cut: “There is a power cut affecting the EH51 postcode area of Boness.

"We had no advance warning of this and only became aware of it at 8.19am.

"Our control centre will attempt to reset the network remotely to restore power in stages, and we will also send our next available engineer to attend site.

"Our team will work to get your power back on as quickly and as safely as possible by 10.30am.

"Once they arrive, or when we receive any update regarding the cause, we will be able to provide you with more information.

"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
