Stewart Simpson decided to have some fun during the independence referendum and created labels for both sides of the argument.

He said: “I made Aye and Naw labels however it was soon pointed out to me that there were three sides to this argument.”

Stewart went back to his brewery behind the Corbie Inn and created Mebbes Aye Mebbes Naw labels for those that had yet to be persuaded by one side of the political civil war.

Before he knew it people were up at the bar asking for some of his beer. He was left shocked at the interest his labels gathered and orders began bubbling over for the one-man beer making machine.

Stewart said: “It was a lot of hard work keeping up with the orders. I didn’t expect it to be so popular.”

The bottles now have their place at Callendar House and are a piece of Scottish history.

However Stewart has no plans to do it again if Scotland decides to have another referendum.

He said: “I have no plans to do it again. Once was enough for me.”
