Body found in woods

Police made the grim find last Friday after concerns had been raised for the 31-year-old’s welfare.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Officers were called to a wooded area near Forth Valley Royal Hospital on Friday, February 26, shortly before 4pm in response to a report of concern for a woman.

“Sadly, a body of a 31-year-old female was subsequently discovered.

“There are no suspicious circumstances at this time and we are not looking to speak to anyone else in relation to this matter.

“The next of kin has been informed and as in all cases of sudden death a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
