Police hunting for a missing Falkirk man have discovered a body.
Former Stenhousemuir footballer Paul Shanks was reported missing by concerned family and friends earlier this week.
However, the body of the 31-year-old was found in West Lothian yesterday.
Mr Shanks, who signed for the Warriors in 2001, also played for junior sides Camelon, Sauchie and Broxburn.
Tonight, a Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police in Livingston are investigating following the death of a 31-year-old man.
“The death was reported to police on Wednesday, September 30, after a body was discovered at an address in West Lothian.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, however the circumstances are not believed to be suspicious. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
