Last Sunday, the short service at the War Memorial was conducted by Amanda MacQuarrie. The church service was conducted by Rev. Louise McClements assisted by Amanda MacQuarrie. This Sunday the service will be at the usual time of 10 a.m. Children and apprentices meet in the hall at the usual time of 9.45 a.m. On Friday the Banner/Craft Group meets from 2 to 4 p.m. in the church hall. All are welcome. Guild week is from Sunday until Sunday, November 23. Guild meets Wednesday, November 19, when Corporal Margaret Ross, Salvation Army, is our guest. All are welcome. The annual brunch is on Saturday, November 22. Tickets priced £3.50 for adults and £1 for children to include soup and a filled roll. They are now on sale. Thanks to all who supported in any way the fundraising event in The Three Kings. The sum raised was £1505 and will be given to church funds and local charities. Sunday services are recorded and a CD is available to those who are house-bound or unable to attend church. Shieldhill & California Community Council’s next meeting will be held in the Community wing next to Shieldhill Primary School on Thursday, November 27 at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome. If you have any issues you wish to raise or highlight please attend.
Timeout-14, the Friday programme for boys and girls, continues on Friday at 6.30 p.m. with choruses, quizzes, a Bible story, biscuits and juice. All boys and girls are invited, with mums and dads as well. The Christian Gospel will be preached on Sunday at 3.30 p.m. (note time) by Mr Raymond McGahie from Perth. All are invited to come and hear this important message.The Mums and Tots continues on Wednesday morning at 9.30 a.m. with play facilities free and tea and coffee available.
