Parish Church

On Sunday the Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated in Bainsford Parish Church at 11 a.m. The Kirk Session will beet at 10.40 a.m. with the Rev. Andrew Sarle conducting the service with the theme being Law and Grace. Tea and coffee will be served in the hall after the serivce. A joint meeting of the Kirk Sessions of Bainsford Parish Church and St James Parish Church will be held in St James on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The themes for the following services are: Sunday, October 12 ‘Are you ready’ and Sunday, October 19 ‘Caesar and God’.

Job Club

Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Dawson Centre there is a Job Drop in Club which has been in operation for nearly three years with the following facilities: free access to Job Centre web site; help with CV benefits advice and support. Fruit Barra

Fridays, 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Dawson Cafe (which is located in the Dawson Centre). Come and get fresh fruit and veg from your local farmer at reasonable prices. Healthy start vouchers accepted. For any information contact Michelle on (01324) 501470.

Country Dancing

Take the floor at Bainsford Parish Church Hall, Smith Street for Scottish Country Dancing each Thursday at 7.30 p.m. All welcome.

Ladies Group

On Monday, Bainsford Parish Church Ladies Group resumes in the Session House at 7.15 p.m. The group meets fortnightly and will welcome new members.

Community Council

The next meeting of the Langlees, Bainsford and Newcarron Community Council will be on Tuesday, October 14 at 7 p.m. in the Bainsford Community Centre.

Prize Bingo

Local co-operative staff have organised a prize bingo in aid of the charity SEPSIS in Bainsford Bowling Club on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. Tickets are £1, bring your own cup. SEPSIS is the charity being supported by New Carron Co-op this year and all profits from the bingo will help boost their fundraising total. Tickets are for sale in the New Carron store or pay at the door.


Our devoted Dawson walkers meet every Wednesday outside Carron Co-op main entrance to start their walk at 10.30 a.m. finishing an hour later in Greggs for tea and a cake.
