BA Bowlers

The Burns Supper will be held on Tuesday, January 13 at 7 p.m. in the club. Tickets priced £12 can be ordered by contacting Allan on (01324) 628031.

Credit Union

Savings are safe with Falkirk District Credit Union and low cost loans are available once regular savings established. Braveheart Walks

Devoted Dawson walkers meet every Wednesday outside Carron Co-op main entrance to start their walk at 10.30 a.m., finishing an hour later in Greggs for tea and a cake. Walk Leader Ian Parker is booking Jamiesons (the Carronade Pub) for Christmas lunch for the December 10 at noon. All Dawson walkers are welcome to join. It’s £13.95 for two courses, £15.95 for three courses. Ian plans on meeting at 11.30 a.m. at our normal spot for a 30 minute walk before heading for lunch. We look forward to seeing you there.

Parish Church

On Sunday, a special Christmas family service will take place in Bainsford Parish Church at 11 a.m. with the Boys’ Brigade and the Girls’ Brigade leading the service, with the Rev. Andrew Sarle in attendance. Tea and coffee will be served in the hall after the service.

Job Club

Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Dawson Centre there is a Job Drop in Club which has been in operation for nearly three years, with free access to Job Centre web site, help with C.V., benefits advice, and support available. Fruit Barra

Fridays, 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Dawson Cafe (which is located in the Dawson Centre). Come along and get fresh fruit and veg from your local farmer at reasonable prices. Healthy Start vouchers will be accepted. For any information, contact Michelle on (01324) 501470.

Dancing Break

The Scottish Country Dancing which is held in Bainsford Parish Church, Smith Street, takes a break from tonight (Thursday) and will restart again on Thursday, January 8 at 7.30 p.m.


The recent Christmas Fayre/Coffee Morning held in Bainsford Day Centre raised £1400. Many thanks to all the helpers and donations given, thanks also for the valued support throughout the year.
