BFest Tickets

Rock up in your best festival style and join the B Fest! Aimed at families with young children (0-8), this fun outdoor event will have lots to keep the kids amused. Enjoy the open air disco, funky fitness, bouncy castles, baby sensory, face painting, hair braiding, henna and food workshops with goodies to take away. The event will take place on Tuesday between noon and 3 p.m. at the Dawson Centre. And all-inclusive ticket is £2.50 per child (under 1s are free) and available from the Dawson Centre, David’s Loan, Bainsford. Please note all children must be accompanied by an adult. Braveheart Walks

Bainsford & Langlees- Our devoted Dawson walkers meet every Wednesday outside Carron Co-op main entrance to start their walk at 10.30 a.m, finishing an hour later in Greggs for a tea and cake. Parish Church

On Sunday, the worship in Bainsford Parish Church is at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Sarle conducting the service with the theme being ‘Walking on the Water’. Tea and coffee will be served in the hall after the service.

Job Club

There is a Job Drop In Club every Wednesday from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Dawson Centre. The following facilities are available: Free access to Job Centre web site, help with CV, benefits advice and support available. Tea and coffee on offer. Fruit Barra

The Fruit Barra which is located in the Dawson Cafe will be available throughout the summer holidays up to and including Friday, August 15, it will be a change of time from noon till 3 p.m. On Friday, August 22, it will be back to the normal time of 10 a.m. till 10 p.m. More details from Michelle on (01324) 501470.

Community Council

The next meeting of Langlees, Bainsford and Newcarron Community Council will be on Tuesday, August 12, at 7 p.m. in the Bainsford Community Centre.

There is also a Men only group every first and third Thursday from 2-4 p.m. in the Dawson Centre, David’s Loan, Bainsford, as well as a Mixed group every Monday from 7-9 p.m., also in the Dawson Centre.
