Do you suffer from anxiety or depression? This is a group of people who meet in a friendly, supportive and confidential environment. There is a Ladies group every Wednesday and Friday from 1-3 p.m. in Camelon Community Project, Abercrombie Street. There is also a men only group every first and third Thursday from 2-4 p.m. in the Dawson Centre, David’s Loan, Bainsford, as well as a mixed group every Monday from 7-9 p.m., also in the Dawson Centre. Braveheart Walks

Our committed walkers meet every Wednesday outside Carron Co-op main entrance to start their walk at 10.30 a.m. finishing an hour later at the cafe for a chat over a cup of tea (and perhaps a cake). Credit Union

Savings are safe with Falkirk District Credit Union and low cost loans are available once regular savings established. Anyone who lives or works in the area within the boundary of Falkirk Council can join, junior savers welcome. Parish Church

On Sunday, the worship in Bainsford Parish Church is at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Sarle preaching and Rev. Michael R. Philip giving support with the theme being “Lent: Mary the Mother - The Crucified Son”. The Kirk Session will meet at 10.45 a.m. Tea and coffee will be served in the hall after the service. The Deacon’s Court and Kirk Session will meet on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Country Dancing

Take the floor at Bainsford Parish Church hall, Smith Street, for Scottish Country Dancing each Thursday, at 7.30 p.m. New members most welcome.

Job Club

Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the Dawson Centre there is a Job Drop-in Club which has been in operation for nearly three years with the following facilities: free access to Job Centre web site: help with C.V., benefits advice and support available. Fruit Barra

Every Friday from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m . in the Dawson Cafe (which is located in the Dawson Centre) you can buy fresh fruit and veg from your local farmer at reasonable prices. Ladies Group

The annual general meeting of Bainsford Parish Church Ladies Group was held last Monday, Mrs Millie Morrison presiding and opened the meeting with prayer, after which Mrs Wilma Weir gave the secretary’s report and Mrs Marylyn Thomson gave the treasurer’s report. Both were approved and the officials thanked. The appointment of officebearers for the 2014-2015 session are as follows: President Mrs Millie Morrison; secretary, Mrs Morag Mochrie; treasurer, Mrs Marylyn Thomson. Tea was served afterwards. Mrs Morrison thanked the invited guests for attending – Rev. Michael R. Philip, Rev. Andrew Sarle and Mr James B. Irvine. Mr Philip closed the meeting with Bendiction.
