Baby of the Week: Thomas Bryan Williamson

Thomas was born on April 20 at 11.48am in Forth Valley Royal Hospital, weighing 6lb 14oz.

THE PARENTS: New mum Gayle (33) is a staff nurse in Glasgow and dad David (34) is a flight dispatcher at Edinburgh Airport. The couple have been married for two years and Thomas is their first child together.

THE PREGNANCY: Gayle said she was incredibly lucky and had a fairly straightforward nine months with no issues.

THE BIRTH: Thomas could not wait to meet his parents and arrived a week early. Gayle said: “I had a great pregnancy, great birth and now have a great baby.”

THE BABY: Thomas is “no bother” according to his mum. She said: “He loves to sleep all the way through the night, really enjoys his food and we have great fun at all the classes we go to together.”

THE NAME: Thomas was named after David’s dad’s uncle. His middle name is from Gayle’s dad, Bryan. Gayle said: “We had the names picked out from before I was pregnant so we were well prepared once we knew we were having a boy.”
