Baby of the Week: Ollie McNaughton

THE PARENTS: Mum Laura McCarthy (28) is a stay-at-home mum and dad Colin McNaughton (41) is a warehouse operative in Falkirk. The couple are engaged and live in Denny with Laura’s two children, Regan (8) and Cole (6).

THE PREGNANCY: Laura said she was well looked after during her nine months and had a fairly straightforward pregnancy.

THE BIRTH: Laura was induced on her due date and said the birth was fine. She said: “I could not have asked for a better labour.”

THE BABY: Ollie is a happy and smiley child who has been fantastic from day one according to his mum. Laura said: “He is a wee ladies’ man who smiles every time he sees a woman.” Cole and Regan both love their new little brother and Regan likes to help mum look after him.

THE NAME: The couple knew they were having a boy from 16 weeks into the pregnancy however could not think of a name until Ollie was home. Laura said: “It wasn’t until we got home we agreed he looked like an Ollie.”
