Baby of the Week: Cameron Brian Hughes

THE PARENTS: Mum Kerryann (33) is an early years officer with Falkirk Council and dad Kenneth (32) is a senior project engineer. The couple live in Redding with their two-year-old son Oliver.

THE PREGNANCY: Kerryann did not have an easy nine months. She said: “I suffered from a lot of sickness during the pregnancy. It was not the easiest.”

THE BIRTH: Little Cameron could not wait to join his family as he was born four-and-a-half weeks early. Kerryann said it was a surprise when she went into labour weeks before her due date.

THE BABY: Cameron is a happy and healthy baby who loves to smile. He also loves an adventure in the middle of the night. Kerryann said: “He is nowhere near sleeping the whole way through but hopefully he will get there.”

THE NAME: Both Kerryann and Kenneth had liked the name Cameron from the first pregnancy so it was an easy choice for the couple. Brian is after Kerryann’s father.
