Parish Church

A very warm welcome is extended to everyone to join us at our morning worship at 9.45 a.m. led by Rev. Ken MacKay. Tea and coffee with light refreshments will be served after morning worship in the church hall. If you know of anyone in the parish who is ill or in hospital or has been bereaved and would appreciate a card or a visit, please contact our Pastoral Care Co-ordinators Mrs Jean Wilson (01324) 860105, Mrs Aileen Thomson (01324) 861352 and Mrs June Maxwell. The World Championship Clootie Dumpling Competition was held in the church last Sunday with a grand turnout. Judge Mrs Isobel Taylor from Armadale had a hard decision to make because all the clootie dumplings were excellent. However, she placed Mrs Ruth Brown from Shieldhill first, Mr Logan Brown from Throsk second and Mrs Mary Inglis from Avonbridge third. Well done to everyone who entered. Entertainment was provided by Jock Moffat on the accordian, Rab Hunter with the spoons and Calum Stephens on the trumpet. Everyone finished the evening by sampling the clootie dumplings along with tea and coffee and a wonderful evening was had by all. The AGM will be held on March 15 after the morning service.
