Avonbridge-based stables are expanding thanks to bank

Midsummer Farm Stables, a family-owned business, hopes the expansion will lead to further growth.

It now boasts 40 stables and a new horse walker.

The stables operate as a livery yard as well as a facility for a local riding instructor’s business.

Sarah Williamson set up Midsummer Farm Stables in 1997 with only six stables, growing the company to its current size.

Sarah said: “I now have four employees as well as my husband and 13 year-old daughter helping out. Over the next year, I hope to continue expanding the business and create new jobs. Almost all of the stables are now occupied, so we are already looking at what the next growth project will look like.
