Parish Church

Sunday morning worship is at 11 a.m. and will be conducted by Rev. Jim Todd. Bible Study/Fellowship Group meets on Tuesday in the church at 1.30 p.m. Airth Holiday Club “Fit for a King” will run from Monday, August 4 to Friday, August 8 in Airth Primary School between 9.30 a.m. and noon. Autumn Trip

Airth and District Senior Citizens have organised a half day trip to Helensburgh on Tuesday, August 19 leaving from the community centre at 10.30 a.m. prompt. Those wishing to go please give names to any committee member by Friday, August 8. The cost is £5.

Community Council

The annual garden competition organised by the community council was judged by Graham Bryson of Dunmore Perennials on Thursday, July 24 and of the 23 gardens nominated and judged, the winners were as follows. First prize of a trophy and £30 was awarded to David Stevenson of 14 Elphinstone Crescent, Airth. David has kindly donated his cash prize to the Airth and District senior citizens group. Second prize of £15 was awarded to Drummond Penn of 59 South Green Drive, Airth and Third prize of £5 was awarded to Jean McCudden of 29 Elphinstone Crescent. Graham was impressed by the high standard of the gardens nominated for the competition and we wish to thank him for giving up his time and everyone who participated this year.
