Parish Church

Sunday morning Christmas family worship service at 11 a.m. will be led by Rev. Jim Todd with children from Sundays’ Cool taking part. Bible Study/Fellowship Group meets on Tuesday in the church at 1.30 p.m.

Community Council

A general meeting of Airth Parish Community Council will be held in Airth Primary School on Wednesday between 7 and 9 p.m. All residents are welcome to attend. Anyone wishing to bring any issues to the attention of the Community Council but unable to attend the meeting can pass the information on to any community councillor. The official switch on of the Parish Christmas lights took place on Friday when Mrs Christine Todd switched on the Christmas tree lights before a very large crowd of residents who had braved the cold to attend this very popular annual event. The Community Council wish to publicly thank Airth Primary School for providing the choir, Philip Todd for his music and singing, Airth Parish Church for use of their sound system, Falkirk Council for providing and decorating the tree and all those farmers, businesses and individuals who contributed towards the provision of the Parish Christmas lights.

We also thank those who helped at the event and everyone who donated prizes and those who purchased tickets for our prize draw in aid of the Christmas lights fund. It is the ultimate aim to add to our lights in future years so that eventually we will have lights the full length of the village from the church in the north to the Airth Castle gates in the south.

Christmas Dinner

Airth and District senior citizens annual Christmas dinner will be held in Bar 189 at 12.30 for 1 p.m. on Saturday.
