Airport launches new flights to Dublin's fair city

Aer Lingus has launched extra flights between Glasgow Airport and Dublin, offering the chance of 'long, long weekend' city breaks.

The new flights are on Thursdays, Fridays and Mondays, and come on top of the existing three services running seven days a week.

Glasgow Airport says the added flights are good news for both business and leisure travellers, also complementing onward connections to popular North American destinations including New York, Boston and Chicago.

Flight times for the additional Glasgow Dublin service are:

Dublin to Glasgow – departs 11.55

Glasgow to Dublin – departs 13.10

Glasgow Airport’s business development manager Paul White said: “This significant increase in what is a hugely popular service is fantastic news for passengers travelling between both Glasgow and Dublin for business purposes or visitors looking to enjoy a city break in each destination.

“The addition of this service also guarantees greater choice and flexibility for passengers making onward connections to 13 North American destinations from Dublin.

“The Republic of Ireland’s capital city remains one of our busiest routes with thousands of passengers making the short trip across the Irish Sea.

Graeme Buchanan, Managing Director of Aer Lingus Regional franchise partner Stobart Air, said: “This is a popular route from both cities but is particularly beneficial for passengers travelling from Glasgow, via Dublin, and on to the US as they can save time by availing of the Dublin preclearance service.”
