Marching boldly forward were around 500 members of Falkirk & District Battalion of the Boys’ Brigade.
For the tenth year, they held TurnaBBouT in Falkirk Town Hall with boys and officers aged from six years upward representing 18 companies from across the area.
This year’s theme was ‘To Boldly Go ...’ in recognition of the 50th anniversary of Star Trek.
The alternative worship event was led by Bill Wishart, a Christian outreach speaker from East Lothian, as well as young Christian rock band, Rise from Larbert Pentecostal Church and Battalion chaplain, the Rev. Andrew Sarle.
The Battalion colours were paraded by boys from 2nd Larbert with members of this company and 8th Falkirk leading dramatised scripture lessons and illustrated prayers.
Falkirk People’s Church Puppets led an audience sing-a-long.
Guests attending included the Moderator of Falkirk Presbytery, Rev. George McDonald, as well as BB officers and a representative from Cub Scouts.
HM The Queen, also sent a message of congratulations and encouragement to all those involved in TurnaBBouT, now one of the biggest Boys’ Brigade events in the UK.
