Update: Falkirk First Bus services

Earlier all First Buses were cancelled in the local area but there is now a limited service running.

A statement on their website reads: “Still tough conditions in the Falkirk Area, we will however attempt to run some buses,however we will be unable to operate full routes so buses will be operating part routes.”

First Bus are attempting at this stage to run the following:

Service 38- 10.00 Bellsdyke Roundabout to Lathallan Rbt- At this stage we will be unable to serve FVRH stances and Falkirk Bus Stn.

10.15 Falkirk Asda- Bellsdyke Roundabout.

Then dependant on Weather conditions a bus will depart Bellsdyke Rbt and Lathallan Rbt at 00 and 30.

Service X37- A bus is departing Camelon Roman Bar heading to Glasgow. This Will operate to Bonnybridge,then via Dennyloanhead and Haggs to Castlecary then normal route to Glasgow omitting Cumbernauld Village and Greenfaulds. The bus will depart Glasgow at 11.45 operating the same route as far as Falkirk Asda.

A bus will depart Falkirk Asda at 11.13 operating the same route and departing Glasgow at 12.45.

First Bus said: “We will update shortly for future journeys ,as the road conditions in our area are being hampered by Roads that although have been ploughed are narrower and not gritted and also in certain areas we have cars abandoned on these roads.”

However, Humza Yousaf, Scottish Government Minister for Transport, urges people to travel only if necessary.
