Stunning home is Larbert’s very own Tardis

This stunning family home in Larbert is delightfully deceptive.

From the outside, it’s difficult to imagine just how spacious and well-laid out this house is on the inside, and the many benefits of large rear gardens.

Owner Tracy Thomson, who lives in the Falkirk Road semi with her two daughters, loves this house and, having spent a good few years working in the show home industry, she’s clearly brought her experience home with her.

She said: “It is a bit of a Tardis. It looks quite small from the outside but then you go inside and it’s completely different.

“We bought the house 16 years ago. Back then, it didn’t have heating but it wasn’t in bad repair – it just needed some modernisation.

“It took quite a long time and included work like a new kitchen and a new bathroom.

“Now I think it’s a very calming house, with lots of space and character.”

Original features such as ceiling roses and cast iron Victorian radiators complement the house while modern touches such as laminate flooring and a sauna give it an edge.

Tracy said: “This house is very flexible. The rooms could be changed for another purpose such as the lounge could easily be the dining room. It’s great to have the options, because I don’t think you get that in a lot of new houses.”

The options continue to the outdoors where there’s a large back garden, and an outbuilding currently being used as a recording studio.

Tracy added: “I think it’s a great family with plenty of space and character. Some older houses to have little quirky aspects that can put you off, but this house doesn’t.

“The lounge and kitchen are a great size; the downstairs in general is very well proportioned and I really like that.”

The property on Falkirk Road in Larbert is on the market with Homes For U at the fixed price of £215,000. For more information contact (01324) 552211.
