With space, style and seclusion, this fantastic house in Allandale makes a really stunning first impression.
The six-bedroom, double-fronted villa is a model of luxury living, with oodles of space and contemporary style.
The property boasts five en suites, a six-car garage, a bespoke kitchen dining area, three sitting rooms and a games hall.
Sitting among four houses of a similar size but varying styles, Lilley House was built 10 years ago to the highest specifications and quality, leaving its owners freedom to enjoy la dolce vita.
Marie and Claudio Baldassarra live here with son Nico after buying the property eight years ago.
Marie said: “I love the size of it and the seclusion.
“It means we each have our own space, and you’ve got somewhere to hide!
“I also like that it’s very close to the motorways to the cities.
“It’s the best of both worlds – you feel like you live in the countryside, but you can be at Edinburgh Airport in 20 minutes.”
The Baldassarras raised their three boys here, and have added their style stamp with the decor around the house.
They also turned the garden from a basic plot of tarmac and grass, to a lush, welcoming outdoor space, secured behind double gates.
Marie said: “We did all the decoration ourselves – we’re both a bit dramatic.
“When you drive through the gates, it’s like going into your own little haven.”
Now, however, with only one son still at home, the family is looking to downsize.
Lilley House in Allandale is on the market with Alexander Taylor estate agents at offers over £585,000.
