Falkirk Delivers, which manages the local Business Improvement District, is giving away three £50 gift cards that can be spent in a wide variety of retail, hospitality, entertainment, and leisure businesses across the area.

The District Towns Gift Cards can be used to purchase an amazing array of products, services, and food and drink in more than 100 outlets, including independent and national traders, in Falkirk, Denny, Stenhousemuir, Grangemouth and Bo’ness.

Participants have until January 5 to enter the prize draw and the gift cards can be used for up to a year after receipt.

The District Towns Gift Card, with a value of between £5 and £500, was officially launched earlier this month as part of an innovative UK-wide Town and City Gift Cards scheme.

The aim is to keep consumer spend on high streets, while also providing a much-needed boost to local economy recovery during and after Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

With Christmas fast approaching, the cards are a simple and accessible way to buy a festive gift for friends, relatives or colleagues.

If you are a business owner you could reward staff with a District Towns Gift Card, or how about providing a gift card as an alternative to the traditional festive party?

The cards are available to buy online, or they can be purchased at the Help Desk in The Howgate Shopping Centre. You can also purchase a card at The Steeple Box Office, in Falkirk, between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Wednesday, up until December 23rd.

Elaine Grant, BID manager, is delighted the District Towns Gift Cards are now available to purchase.

She said: “This is a brilliant initiative that we hope will drive greater spend into the local economy and support our independent retailers through Christmas.

“One of the main benefits of the card, for customers, is that it can be used in many businesses, across a variety of industries, including hospitality, leisure, retail and entertainment.

“The card is a unique gift for any occasion with the balance able to be spread across many transactions from multiple retailers.”

And if you do win a gift card, or if someone kindly gifts you a card, you’ll find a wealth of inspiration for Christmas shopping thanks to the Falkirk Delivers Festive Gift Guide. See falkirkdelivers.com/festive-gift-guide/

Elaine added: “Whether you’re looking to have your hair or nails done, would like to update your wardrobe, buy a gift for a loved one, or simply eat out, our District Towns Gift Card is the present for you.

“Christmas 2020 is the time to Love Local.”
