It’s hard to believe that two children under two years old live in this immaculate detached villa in Polmont. But, on closer inspection, it makes perfect sense.
Inside it’s spacious, bright and homely, and outside there are many family essentials right on the doorstep.
Making this house a perfect home has been the plan right from day one for Lesley-Ann Ferguson and Derek Livingston who bought the Stevenson Avenue property almost exactly 10 years ago.
A decade on, this house is in pristine condition and now home to the couple’s two daughters, Vanilla, who’s 16 months, and six-week old Saffron.
Lesley-Ann said: “We love this house.
“We’ve put so much time and effort into it, and I’ve just loved and taken care of it so much.
“Ten years ago, the house had a separate dining room and kitchen, but last year we knocked though to create a much larger kitchen diner which is just fantastic.
“It’s a great place for entertaining and it’s also a great place for the baby walker, it’s easy to keep an eye on them.
“It also leads to the patio which is great for parties and occasions in the summer.”
The couple also recently converted the garage into a playroom, and now have two utility rooms.
Lesley-Ann said: “The playroom could be turned into a fifth bedroom, a study, or a second sitting room.
“It’s so cosy in there we sometimes find ourselves in there even when the kids have gone to bed.”
Outside, the back south-facing garden, which the couple did themselves, features two oval decks and a mixture of trees, shrubs and plants.
Upstairs, the gigantic master bedroom, which easily takes a king-sized bed, offers a great place to relax, three more double bedrooms, and a spacious family bathroom.
Lesley-Ann added: “The location of the house is wonderful and I will really miss that.
“It’s next door to the doctors and the sports centre, the library and Polmont train station is just behind us.
“And the motorway is really just two minutes away.
“It really is a great family home.
“I’ve loved it and I hope someone else will go on to love it too.”
