A new forum for the over-50s in the Falkirk district is now up and running.
The Make It Happen group meets in various community centres across the area every month to help people over the golden age of 50 keep active and involved in community matters.
The forum is an exciting way to get involved in decision, discuss ideas, issues and concerns and to have a real voice to improve services.
Once concerns, ideas or improvements have been identified they are presented to relevant agencies to work on creating solutions.
According to Age Scotland, there are over 620 forums for older people in the UK representing 200,000 people.
The group regularly have guest visitors and speakers talking about everything from health matters by Living It Up and Keep Well to issues specifically affecting the age group.
A representative from the Scottish Older People’s Assembly and Provost Pat Reid will be attending a meeting on Friday, March 6 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
