Social clubs in the Falkirk area used to be the place to go once upon a time before discos and then nightclubs became the norm.
Cecil Caskie from Grangemouth sent us this picture showing revellers enjoying some dancing in Camelon Labour Club in 1974.
The picture featured in the Inter Club magazine which was published at the time.
The club was a popular place in those days due to the quality of the products it sold, according to one visitor quoted in Inter Club. The magazine said: “At almost every club we have visited, members confess to spending a little time in the Labour Club because the beer is good.
“Camelon Labour Club must be one of the lucky clubs as they have dancing four or five times a week. Most clubs are lucky to have dancing three times a week.”
