The patrons of Bonnybridge Social Club were a friendly bunch who enjoyed the entertainment provided.
Cecil Caskie from Grangemouth fished out this photograph from 1974 which appeared in the Inter Club magazine which used to be published to raise awareness of events at local groups.
The publication said: “The group were very easy to photograph – no trouble. Normally we have to work hard but not this time. The folk of Bonnybridge Social are definitely not camera shy.”
The club was seen as a great way for the community to come together at the time.
The article added: “Elizabeth Anthony and Alice O’Brien, with their husbands having a quiet drink, remarked that before the social club opened there was little entertainment, now they can enjoy the people, drink and bingo.”
