In fact, when owners Iain and Jane Mitchell threw a bash for their daughter’s 21st birthday at the weekend, they counted 47 guests.

It was just another happy memory to add to the numerous good times the family have had in this substantial home.

Mr Mitchell added: “We have mixed feelings about leaving this house.

“We are entering the next chapter in our lives and going to a self-built in a semi-rural location.

“But when we close the door for the last time, we’ll be leaving with many happy memories.”
