This four-bedroom bungalow has been completely renovated in the past year to a high standard, creating a spacious, stylish and versatile family home.

In fact, the property was bought in March last year by Julie and Alex Martin as a renovation project.

They had been looking for a house but couldn’t find anything suitable and decided to buy this one and carry out refurbishment work.

The couple and three of their children lived in rented property for the first few months when work was progressing, then moved into the bungalow.

Now the work is finished, the family are preparing to move on.

Julie said: “The end result is stunning. Everyone who saw the house before and after is really surprised and impressed.

“I don’t know if we will 
buy another house for renovation. We’ve moved lots of times and it may be that we now look for a permanent place.”

The refurbishment work included re-tiling of the roof, new roughcasting, new Georgian-style double glazing, central heating, rewiring and new plumbing.

The property also has a floored loft which could take a full-size snooker table.

An en suite shower room has been installed in the master bedroom. The bedroom itself is special as it is spacious and has a bay window at the rear, The family bathroom also has a separate shower.

A utility room has been created off the newly fitted kitchen.

Julie added: “This renovation involved a lot of work and we are happy with the outcome. I would love to see the house going to someone who will appreciate the work.”
