Glenbervie hosts Mother's Day tea party

Youngsters at Glenbervie Kindergarden in Stenhousemuir held special Mother's Day celebrations early.

On the Friday before the big day they held an event where their mums could come along, enjoy afternoon tea and find out more about what the little ones do at the nursery in Carrongrange Road.

Around 35 mums attended and saw the different play and activities in the different rooms including decorating fairy cakes and a Mother’s Day arts and crafts table.

The toddlers and pre-school children made glass candle holders with gems and pasta jewellery, as well as sandwiches and chocolate cakes to the tea party.

Lis Armstrong from Glenbervie Kindergarden said: “We got some lovely comments from the parents saying how nice it was to see the children inter-act and engage with staff and their friends as it’s normally a two minute drop off and pick up they get to see.

“It was also a good opportunity for mums to meet each other and we will be looking to do more events like this in the future. It was a great success.”
