The knees-up is taking place in Larbert’s Dobbie Hall on April 8 next year but tickets have went on sale this week and are already going fast for the two-day event. The Falkirk Gin Festival will allow visitors to try drinks from well known brands and new and exciting producers.

Held over two sessions, revellers can sample gins from exhibitors, find out more about them and get full sized gin and tonics of their favourites from the show at the festival bar. The on-site shop run by Glasgow specialist off licence, The Good Spirits Company, will stock bottles of all the tipples on offer at the event for guests to purchase and enjoy at home.

The show follows the sold out Falkirk Whisky Festival held in August. Over 500 visitors enjoyed drams from 20 stands with many taking advantage of the festival day discounts from the Good Spirits Company shop.

Organiser Andy Ure, from Falkirk, said: “We had so much fun at Falkirk Whisky Festival we wanted to try a similar event with gins and I think it will be just as popular. Over 70 per cent of the world’s gins are made in Scotland so there is a huge range of distillers right on our doorstep.”

Tickets are £25. For more information check out Falkirk Gin Festival on Facebook or email [email protected].

Tickets go on sale tomorrow from 9am via www.eventbrite.com and include a festival programme and two tokens to enjoy full sized gin and tonics at the bar. Additional drinks tokens for the bar can be purchased at the event.
