The product being recalled is Birds Eye’s Four Chicken Burgers with Golden Wholegrain 200g and the reason it is being withdrawn from sale is some packs may contain pieces of red plastic, making the burgers unsafe to eat.

The packs in question have a sell by date of best before April 2022 and carry batch codes L1022 V U124, L1022 W U124, and L1022 X U124.

The FSA stated: "Our advice to consumers is if they have bought this product, please do not consume it. Instead, return the packaging to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”

Alternatively people can take a photo of the packaging which shows the batch code and send this with your name, address and contact details to www.birdseye.co.uk/contact-us.
