Wedding of the week: Richard Hastie and Keighley Taylor

THE DETAILS: Keighley (33) is a civil servant while Richard (33) is a train driver. The couple live in Brightons with their son James (1).

HOW THEY MET: The couple met on Richard’s 26th birthday weekend in Newcastle where Keighley is from. Four months later, Keighley moved to Falkirk.

THE PROPOSAL: Richard proposed on holiday in Florida in September 2015. Whilst swimming with dolphins, one of the dolphins was holding a bouy in its mouth reading “Keighley will you marry me?”.

THE WEDDING: The couple were married at the Vu in Bathgate on November 3, 2018. They were joined by 118 guests during the day with an extra 10-15 at night.

THE WEDDING PARTY: Keighley’s bridesmaids were Christine Ord, Nicole McGuire, Jill Abernathy and Samantha Fawcett with Ryan Macauley, Chris Szweblik and Craig Edwards as groomsmen. Keiran McGuire was usher with son James Hastie and nephew Benjamin Ord as page boys.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple enjoyed a ten day honeymoon in Tenerife.
