The wedding of Michelle Strachan and Tony Wilson
HOW THEY MET: The couple met about 10 years ago when they were both employed as waiting staff at Tulliallan Golf Club.
THE PROPOSAL: Tony proposed on Christmas Day, 2012, just after Christmas dinner. Michelle said that she was very surprised but delighted to say yes. She was also very impressed with the engagement ring Tony had picked out.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held at Glenskirlie House and Castle on November 14, 2014. There were 92 guests during the day and a further 50 joined the couple for an evening reception. The day went extremely well, with the speeches being one of the highlights. Michelle said: “It was the best day.”
THE WEDDING PARTY: Michelle’s bridesmaid was her best friend Katy Mitch. The best man was Tony’s friend Ross Pennycook, and the ushers were Michelle’s younger brother Calum Strachan and Tony’s friend James Lindsay.
THE DRESS: Michelle loved her dress which she got from boutique in Barrhead. It was only the second shop she had tried but she knew immediately that it was the one for her. The dress featured lace detailing, full skirt and a diamante belt.
THE HONEYMOON: The newlyweds spent two week in Cancun in Mexico.
THANKS: Special thanks go to both sets of parents and also to the wedding party.
