The wedding of Lisa Hutton and Stuart Rooney
THE COUPLE: Lisa (29), of Carronshore, is an advertising sales rep with the Falkirk Herald, while Stuart (29), of Bo’ness, is an implementation consultant with Lumesse. The couple live in Carronshore.
HOW THEY MET: The couple’s mums worked together and tried to set them up. They finally met in Sportsters in Falkirk on a night out just over four years ago.
THE PROPOSAL: After spending two nights in Dornoch in November 2011, Stuart surprised Lisa by taking her to the Rocpool Reserve Hotel in Inverness where he proposed after dinner. He chose the ring himself.
THE WEDDING: Took place on June 15 at Forrester Park Resort in Cairneyhill, with 90 day guests and a further 90 in the evening. Lisa said: “The day was amazing and everything went perfectly. We got to go out on a golf buggy to get our photos taken with lovely views and our guests enjoyed the photobooth in the evening.”
THE WEDDING PARTY: Chief bridesmaid was Lisa’s sister Alexis Hutton and bridesmaids were Debbie Rooney and Hayley McGonigal. The best man was Kenny Hughes, with ushers Craig Paterson and Ryan Aitken. Page boy was Lewis McCartney while the beautiful flower girls were Brooke Gallagher, Maisie Gallagher and Eva Baillie.
THE DRESS: Lisa’s dress, by Essence of Australia, was soft organza with lace and dolce satin accents with a sweetheart bodice. Stuart wore the Help for Heroes tartan.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple enjoyed three nights in Bangkok and 10 nights in Koh Samui.
