The wedding of Lesley Kennedy and Wojtek Dylo
THE COUPLE: Lesley is 28 and a manager of catering at Frankie & Benny’s, while Wojtek is 28 and a manager at the Filling Station in Stirling. Thefamily lives in Stenhousemuir.
HOW THEY MET: The couple first met through work about six years ago.
THE PROPOSAL: Wojtek popped the question on Christmas Day three years ago. Lesley’s ring was hidden in one specially-wrapped gift box, much to her surprise.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held on July 6 in The Three Kings Hotel. There were 70 guests during the day and a further 70 in the evening. Lesley said the day was absolutely fantastic and the couple loved the whole day and the whole experience.
THE WEDDING PARTY: Lesley had four bridesmaids - sister Claire and Dawn Kennedy, Wojtek’s sister Madga, and the bride’s best friend Debbie Comrie. The best man was John Dunnachie. The ushers/page boys were Lesley’s son Ryan O’Donnell (7) and her nephew Jamie Dunnachie (7). The page boy was Ross Dunnachie (2) and the flower girls were Amy Reid (6) and Kayla Reid (2). Lesley said: “The children were brilliant on the day.”
THE DRESS: Lesley described her dress as “massive”. The gown was called Venus Princess and was strapless with diamante around the top of the bodice and details on the rest of the skirt.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple spent a week in sunny Spain and had a great time. Lesley’s sons joined the couple on the trip but the newlyweds are hoping to get away themselves for a few days at some point.
