The wedding of Katy Asher and Calum Esplin

THE COUPLE: Katy is 29 and an HR assistant from Stirling, and Denny’s Calum (33) is a coachbuilder based in Camelon. The newlyweds live in Stirling.

HOW THEY MET: The couple met on a night out in Stirling 12 years ago. They have been together ever since.

THE PROPOSAL: Four years ago, Katy and Calum say they just decided to get married and went shopping for a ring together.

THE WEDDING: The wedding took place on February 15, 2014, at Logie Kirk in Stirling. The couple tied the knot in front of 170 guests who all joined them for the reception at Dunblane Hydro in the evening. The couple loved the day and were very happy that the weather was so nice. Katy said: “We were really lucky with the weather, it was a lovely day.”

THE WEDDING PARTY: Katy’s bridesmaids were friend Fiona Ion, her cousin Sophie Loch and Calum’s cousins Stacey and Ashley McKay. The best man was Calum’s younger brother Ross and the ushers were Katy’s brother William Asher and Calum’s uncle Campbell McKay.

THE DRESS: Kay wore a Sassi Holford ivory gown with beaded pearl detail and an organza skirt.

THE HONEYMOON: The couple’s official honeymoon will be in July when they will jet off to Barbados. However, Calum whisked Katy to romantic Paris for a few days just after the wedding.
