The wedding of Julieann Dempsey and Lee Duncan
THE COUPLE: Julieann (26) is a catering assistant with Asda in Grangemouth, while Lee (25) is currently a house husband. The couple live in Langlees with their three daughters.
HOW THEY MET: The couple have known each other for over 10 years, They lived close to one another and shared the same group of friends.
THE PROPOSAL: Lee popped the question on June 2, 2012, Although the couple had been talking about getting married, Julieann was still surprised when he proposed that day in their living room.
THE WEDDING: The wedding took place on July 4, 2013. The whole day was held at the Three Kings and everything went well. There were around 65 guests during the day and over 120 in the evening. Julieann said that the day was brilliant, and that it was nice to have so many family and friends to share it with.
THE WEDDING PARTY: Julieann’s friends Shannon Walton and Louise Duncan, who’s also Lee’s sister, were the bridesmaids, and the best man was Lee’s friend and Julieann’s brother Gary Dempsey. The flower girls were the couple’s daughters, Nicole (8), Eme (5) and two-year-old Iona. Niece Morgan Dempsey was also a flower girl. The page boys were the couple’s nephews Matthew Dempsey, Cory O’Donnell and Scott Carmichael.
THE DRESS: Julieann was dreading going to look for a wedding dress as she doesn’t like shopping. However, the staff at CKS Bridal in Falkirk helped to find the bride an ivory, strapless simple gown she loved.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple spent a few quiet days alone in Oban.
